Teaching Artist Institute announces the return of the Artizen Conference Ethiopia 2024. This extraordinary conference is scheduled for November 8th to November 12th, 2024. Following the resounding success of the previous edition held in Zimbabwe, the forthcoming conference held in the vibrant cultural landscape of Ethiopia, promises to be an unparalleled gathering of artistic minds dedicated to the pursuit of “Art for Social Transformation,”.

The Artizen Conference 2024 will serve as a dynamic platform for artists, educators, activists, and change-makers from across the globe to converge, collaborate, and inspire action. The Teaching Artist Institute is excited to bring the Artizen Conference 2024 to Ethiopia, a country steeped in artistic tradition. With Ethiopia’s rich history and diverse cultural heritage as a backdrop, participants will explore innovative approaches to harnessing the power of art for positive societal change.

Throughout the five-day event, attendees can expect a dynamic lineup of keynote speeches, interactive workshops, panel discussions, performances, and networking opportunities designed to catalyze new ideas and collaborations. From exploring the intersection of art and activism to showcasing innovative community-based projects under the Art Tank Competition, this year’s Artizen Conference will offer a diverse array of perspectives and experiences aimed at empowering participants to effect meaningful change in their respective communities.

In addition to its rich program of events, the Artizen Conference will also provide opportunities for attendees to immerse themselves in Ethiopia’s cultural heritage.  Through guided tours, exhibitions, and cultural exchanges with local artists and communities participants will be immersed in the jewels of Ethiopia’s cultural landscape. TAI is eager to continue to foster dialogue and inspire creativity, to bring solidarity among participants as we collectively explore the transformative potential of the arts.
