GetBundi Education Technology, in partnership with Doballi, has announced the opening of registration for the 2026 Skill Up Programme, a large-scale digital empowerment initiative aimed at training 100,000 African youths with future-ready skills.
The organisers said the programme is designed to move young people away from dependency and unemployment by equipping them with practical digital skills that can lead to jobs, entrepreneurship, and sustainable income. The initiative aligns with GetBundi’s core belief that “empowerment, not palliatives, changes destinies.”
In a statement released on Wednesday, the organisers described the programme as a timely intervention for a generation facing rising unemployment, economic pressure, and limited access to quality digital education.
“This message may be an answer to someone’s prayer or your opportunity to be the answer,” the statement said, calling on individuals and organisations to support the initiative.
The 2026 Skill Up Programme is a certified 90-day online training that will feature two live classes every week, supported by a global learning community. Participants will be trained on how to use artificial intelligence tools for content creation, video and audio production, graphic design, and digital marketing.
According to GetBundi, these skills are carefully selected to reflect current global market demands and opportunities within the digital economy.
“These are skills that enable youths to secure employment, build businesses, support their families, and become responsible contributors to society,” the organisers stated.
The programme is open to young people across Africa, with registration officially closing on January 31, 2026. Interested participants can register through an online form provided by the organisers.
Beyond direct participation, the initiative also allows individuals to sponsor a youth. With a donation of just $10 or ₦15,000, a sponsor can cover the full cost of training for one participant.
“With just $10 or ₦15,000, you can sponsor a youth and help rewrite their story,” the statement added.
GetBundi revealed that the new programme builds on its strong track record across the continent. Over the last two years, the organisation has trained more than 100,000 Africans through partnerships with individuals, foundations, governments, and development agencies.
The organisation said these collaborations are driven by a shared vision of hope, skills development, and economic transformation in Africa.
“Our focus has always been on equipping young people with the confidence, competence, and tools they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world,” the organisers noted.
They added that digital skills, especially those powered by artificial intelligence, are becoming essential for Africa’s growth and competitiveness in the global economy.
The organisers urged the public to share the opportunity widely and support the programme in any way possible.
“Let us equip a generation with the skills, confidence, and hope they need. Together, we can raise builders, creators, and leaders for tomorrow,” the statement said.
