Geneva, 25 May 2024 – As Africa marks Africa Day and renews its commitment to a unified, prosperous future, theSITAhas amplified its efforts to promote investment-led solutions that address the continent’s most pressing development challenges.
Through a series of consultations and partnership-building events between January and May 2024, Bafing Projects, the organizers of SITA, mobilized stakeholders across finance, governance, diaspora networks, and the private sector mobilizing and galvanizing participation for the upcoming SITA à Genève, scheduled for 13–14 November 2025, taking place against the backdrop of deepening interest in African-led development, SITA aims to catalyze direct investments into high-impact, African-designed projects focused on infrastructure, industry, agriculture, green innovation, and youth entrepreneurship.In 2025, we’re scaling this momentum by spotlighting even more deal-ready projects and fostering real financial partnerships,” said Sarah Bayoh, CEO of Bafing Projects.
Africa continues to face structural barriers to capital access and sovereignty in economic decision-making. In response, SITA convenes governments, multilateral development banks, private investors, entrepreneurs, and civil society to forge strategic partnerships, build regional value chains, and advance a new narrative promoting Africa as global contributor.“SITA is where capital meets vision. But more importantly, it’s where Africa’s dignity, innovation, and strategy are placed at the center of the global economy,” Bayoh added.
This year’s edition is inviting African governments, permanent missions, ministries, associations, and diaspora groups to present their own projects and policy innovations to a global audience, reinforcing SITA’s mission of building a global village rooted in equity, dignity, and shared prosperity.
