Lagos State Affirms Support to Organic and Agribusiness Conference to be held this October in Abuja.

After serial meetings between the C.E.O of Pan Africa Trade Fair Rasheedah Fagbayi and Ms Abisola Olusanya the Commissioner for Agriculture Lagos State, the proactive commissioner has assured the Organizers of the Organic and Agribusiness Exhibition and Conference of the participation of a contingent of at least 50 farmers from Lagos state to the Abuja event from the coffers of the Ministry of Agriculture Lagos State.

“ Your conference and exhibition event with experienced and amazing speakers selected across the African continent is a very interesting event with potentials of enhancing the capacity development of our local farmers, as it will expose them to continental collaborations , networking and exchange of information much needed at this time to enhance their capacities, ’’ Ms Abisola Olusanya Said.

Abisola Olusanya with 10 years of experience in leadership roles spanning sales, marketing and supply chain management, with a specialty in executing strategies towards food security, SME inclusion, growth and profitability within a sustainable eco-system commended the effort of Pan Africa Trade Fair and its partners.

“we are on the look out for opportunities that events like yours offers to the growth of our local farmers and I will ensure the participation of Lagos State farmers at this event and assure you the support of the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture”‘ Ms Abisola Olusanya reiterated.

The Organic and Agribusiness Conference and Exhibition as the brain child of Pan Africa Trade Fair Nigeria Limited has taken almost 2 years in its preparation as the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) Ministry of Trade and Industry, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) have all confirmed their participation and collaboration to the event.

The event slated to hold virtually and on site at Sandralia Hotel Abuja from the 28th to 31 October 2021 presents opportunity for farmers to learn new means of sustaining their trade and available economic opportunities for them at this time. It also presents an opportunity of networking and consultation with experts in the industry as well as exhibition of their crops and products for possible collaboration and partnership with industries in need of their raw products world over.

Rasheedah Fagbayi commended the  innovative leadership and persona of Ms Olusanya for seeing the importance and relevance of the exhibition and conference, and for supporting the Lagos State farmers at this time in our nation’s history that farmers and farming is fraught with so many challenges from climate change, economic depression and volatility with herders.

“For seeing the gold mine in Agriculture and promoting it as means of financial independence for our youths and Nigerians at large,I commend the tenacity  and professionalism of Ms Olusanya, and thank the Governor of Lagos State for his extraordinary vision in selecting the best hands that the state has to offer in developing and accelerating all round development of Lagos and Nigeria ,we are looking forward to host the Lagos State Farmers as their All Farmers Association of Nigeria(AFAN)Chapter are already confirmed for participation at the event.”

’’In line with the  National Agriculture Development Funds Bill that was passed in March, we urge other state governments to sponsor farmers from their constituency to the summit , We also appeal to well meaning Nigerians and  philanthropists, members of House of Representatives to Sponsor farmers in their States to participate in Live and Virtual Exhibition / Investment Conferences. And help facilitate an upward mobility for the Agric sector in their states ‘’
